Schoolchildren and trainees in the VVO

Children from the time they start school until their 15th birthday can use the following tickets:

We also offer suitable tickets for schoolchildren who want to travel by bus and train more frequently.

Young passengers need a valid customer card for these tickets – apply for a customer card online here.

 

Prices and validity of discounted season tickets

Reduced-price season tickets are valid within the selected fare zone(s) in the Verkehrsverbund Ober­elbe on all local trains, suburban trains, trams, buses and ferries (except the Rathen health resort) as well as on special means of transport.

Reduced weekly passes

With a reduced weekly pass you can travel for one week from the first day of use. The ticket is available from ticket machines, any service centre, and on regional buses.

Cycles, cycle trailers and dogs

When a monthly or a Monthly subscriptionis used, within the zonal and time restrictions you may also bring a cycle, cycle trailer or dog, free of charge.

Reduced Abo-monthly pass

Schoolchildren travel more cheaply with the reduced Abo-monthly pass. The Abo-monthly pass is valid in the calendar month printed on it.

Children up to their first day of school and severely disabled persons are transported free of charge in accordance with the provisions of the Social Code Book IX (Sozialgesetzbuch - Neuntes Buch - SGB IX). Pupils up to their 15th birthday can take advantage of the reduced fares with a customer card.
